TL;DR: Fun game that can be played with friends both online and locally but DO NOT spend more than a couple bucks on it, either wait for a 90% discount here on Steam (that's how I got it and I suspect it gets discounted regularly) or get a key from the usual key dealers. It's unfinished, full of bugs (some inconvenient, some gamebreaking) and apparently abandoned, if the price gets lowered to around 5€ this could've possibly been a positive review but I just cannot reccomend it for 20€

I won't point out all the negatives simply beacause there's so many that I just can't remember all of them, just know that there's issues with pacing and clunkiness and a lot of bugs, this is essentially an early access title with some unfinished content that never got added/fixed for some reason, you can still get 100% completion though

I never tried out co-op personally, only single player, so my thoughts are mostly relevant for single player

Some of the most problematic bugs and design issues:
-The randomly generated dungeons can bug out and softlock you, either by spawning chests that block your movement or by failing to generate doors to other rooms (happened to me in te 4th one), both prevent you from progressing and force you to abandon the run (=the same as dying and respawning) from the main menu
-Sometimes you can't get out of the water, the docks simply don't work and you are forced to wait for your stamina to run out and die. Water exploration is unclear and sketchy even when it works, could use some more guidance
-Ranged combat is very unpolished and underdeveloped, you can't aim precisely and the projectiles fly all over the place, it's just not worth the effort and basically never needed, it's not unusable by any means but unless you want to challenge yourself on purpose there's no reason to ever use your bow or wand for anything other than dealing minor chip damage when your enemy is too far for your sword to reach
-Some things are just never explained or explained incorrectly and cannot be figured out unless you stumble upon them randomly or specifically look for guides online, I'm mostly referring to the locations for Legendary Fish

I liked most of the secondary, non-randomly-generated dungeons and some of the bosses, especially the mines and its spider boss, I also liked the combat focused graveyard which added some variety , the general mechanics and gameplay loop are fun which makes sense considering it's essentially the exact same as the classic 2D Zelda games

Fun little throwback to Gameboy RPG games, definitely a nice buy if you enjoy that style.
