Well - I wanted to hear it from Al Lowe himself. Those other sources to me could have either been not completely truthful or unrealiable. This is Al Lowe himself giving confirmation. In otherwords - I wanted to make sure Al Lowe wasn't going to even ghost write for the production (meaning he could have been involved although officially disavowed by the developer). 100% confirmation.
Fair enough.
I love this solid reply. Doesn't sidestep the issue, doesn't deny that Al Lowe is cool. Refutes only the concerns voiced about the title. Not fond of the title myself, or the penis building thing. But I guess the proof is in the pudding.
I've played all the Sierra Leisure Suit Larry games when I was young before Steam (I'm 38, and yeah I probably should not have played the first group of them when I did but what has been done is done lol, so I'm not going to pretend I am not disappointed that Al isn't participating in the production, however, that does not mean I will canel my Pre-Order either :)
I look forward to playing the game and putting it up to the proverbial Pepsi challenge. Your confidence from the way you write is reassuring regarding the work you have put into it thus far so I'd like to say thanks for even giving this franchise a chance since it's one of my favorites. I'll be sure to give it a fair and honest review.
I mean, afterall your company did pay for the rights to do the game and that's a risk which I must respect since I'm sure some of you must be fans as well. Cheers!
Can you explain what hte title is a reference to assuming its a pun?
There are alot of conflicting theories going around in articles, and discusisons, and no confirmations...
Perhaps the title loses something in 'translation' from German to english? Something that doesn't make as much sense to English speakers?
Of course we know what 'wet dreams' are... just trying to figure out what it's entire name is a reference to something...?
Also its the name of a song.... Hopefully no legal issues there by using the same name...

It doesn't make sense to me, either. I'd think "wet dreams" get "crusty when dry" not "never dry", which I know doesn't fit into the "never" of the title they seem to parody. Something is getting lost in translation, which I imagine won't be the only thing in this game that's confusing or cringeworthy.
Just from the art released, we have a giant yellow penis statue/building, lucha libre lamas, chain chomp from Mario who busted through the side of a hotel room, "Leisure Suite" porn shop... Maybe these things are explained, but if these are supposed to be funny in an of themselves, the humor is lost on me.
But in another thread he definitely seems to be saying that that interpretation is mere coincidence, and it was just something they made up...
Everything confuses me about this, from the name to the design to the jokes. Hopefully it will be good. I don't have my hopes set.
@AssembleGames-Whitman
Not sure what is possible at the moment but it would be awesome to see you guys doing something with Al Lowe and him giving inspiration for another new game after this?
Would be great to see the Larry 8 with a new theme around, think about a funpark/theme park this time.
