Stuck in case 3

Hey, I made some bad choices that got me stuck on Case 3. Addy won't help me talking about her client because I complimented her too much before, and I can't enter the Spectre center anymore because I made a joke. Now I can't even talk to Upton to call it an unsolvable case. Is there really a dead end on this game? Case 3, Adelaide is (SPOILER)

Adelaide is mad at me. Hi there, the game is simply awesome. But I'm stuck at the third case. Adelaide won't talk to me 'cause I've tried to apologize too many times right at the start of the day. And I can't talk to her about clues to progress further. I don't have any other saves, so I can't restart the day either. Is there any way to set us right with Adelaide? I can skip the case or accuse the wrong person but I almost solved it. The way it looks right now is that the game is punishing me way too hard...
