terrible mouse/keyboard controls.
arrow keys for menu's (cant use wasd for moving AND menus for w/e reason..)
horse races the X button to turn quicker doesnt seem to be a key you can remap
esc just shuts the game off (wtf????? menu button, hello?!)

im sure ill find more issues later.

but really common.. these controls are stupid. im fine with lack of mouse curser but atleast let us use WASD for menus and whatnot... I understand that the free flow battle camera w/e lets u run around during a fight so i get why menu and movement controls shouldnt be same.. but i have that mode turned off. maybe someone knows of a workaround?

I've assigned it to backspace by default, but you can pick whatever the hell you want :)

Can you upload a video of you trying to play this with mouse and keyboard Instead of a controller I want to see you fumbling around

KB+M is a bit clunky but I've gotten used to it. I still prefer it to a controller.

The only thing that is still a problem is the onscreen control prompts still showing Xbox inputs instead of keyboard or mouse inputs, which is very confusing. I kept having to refer back to the controls screen, ended up just screenshotting it and printing it off for reference.

SE really should change onscreen input prompts to reflect what you're actually using.

I can play the game just fine i just have to get used to annoying controls. for example i remaped the menu curser buttons to 1, 2 (for up and down) and 3, 4 (for left and right) doing so made it so i dont need to keep removing my hand from mouse. also changed few contorls like making menu button TAB. close to esc button without being esc button... E for interect etc.

Given that you can rebind everything important it didn't bother me too much but the fact that movement and menu navitation have to be exclusive keys is terrible. This isn't the first turn based rpg I've tried playing with mouse/keyboard controls and every other one uses WASD for both character movement and menu navigation. They could have at least given us a mouse cursor to select commands and just have you right click + drag to move the camera.

Also, I should mention, when I play this at home I do use a controller. But I also play this on the go on a laptop, where I can't conviniently bring a controller with me, and so the mouse+keyboard controls are fairly important in my situation.

Great, but this is not my thread about escape making the game implode haha.

Anyway, it would be dope if your magical mod also allowed us to use WASD both for movement and for ingame menus.

Know what's funny? They enabled WASD in some menus, like the skills grid, lol.

Good point.. I was just so frustrated with the escape key constantly bringing up an exit confirmation dialog that's the only thing I focused on :P

I can totally add WASD / Arrow key aliasing in like 5 seconds.

It would be amazing, like improving game's enjoyment for many by a big time haha. I am currently using TFGH as an alternate WASD instead of arrows, but still it's much better to just use WASD for all menus. Thanks for your contributions!

You can't win some times. If you ask for gamepad support in a game you get crapped on by all the PC purists. "gamepad is for noobs, this game shouldn't even have that option." Then if the game does have gamepad support and is lacking KB+M or has terrible implementation. "Use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamepad it's what the game was designed for!"

The main advantage of a PC game is the ability to tune the game to how you want to play it. Even on a per game basis. If the game has KB+M or Gamepad support and it's poorly implemented the customer has a right to voice their concern. In fact any product warrants scrutiny from customers because it's not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ free. If you don't agree with that then you're likely not spending your own hard earned money for the game.

Cretins that play PC games with controllers should be banished the the suckitude of consoles.

Square enix dev teams have no idea how to make PC controls. Just look at the PC versions of Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy 15 took a year to port across to PC and the map control is quite possibly the worst implementation I've ever seen on PC and the mouse has some kind of smoothing or acceleration you just can't turn off. XD

Damm i wanted to buy this game but that i cant use mouse in menu´s is a no go for me.
They want 60 euros for the game and dont give the people even the minimal pc control standard.
