How is the localization? Treehouse tier meme garbage or barely acceptable Xseed tier?

Long story short: how suspect is this script?

Game localizations are almost always filled with the localization editor's bad attempts at fan fiction. Entire paragraphs often get reworked to have completely different meaning in order to "flow" better in English or whatever nonsense reason the editors use. Xseed does this too, but they're generally pretty good about not making sweeping changes like Nintendo Memehouse is notorious for.

On that note, I'm completely unfamiliar with Squeenix's localization teams: does anyone in the know have any idea how off course this Squeenix in general goes with their localized scripts? I'm trying to avoid political injection that the ♥♥♥♥ didn't add themselves and meme garbage, thanks!

having played 11-ish hours of the game so far (steam says ive played 16 but im not sure where its getting that number). i can fully say the localization is fantastic. The voice overs are fanstatic and you have nothing to worry about. you can play the game without any hint of fear, its an absolutely top tier localization.

edit: i should mention that i do not understand japanese and thus cannot give you a direct comparison to the japanese version. Also, in the time I've played ive come across 1 completely coincidental reference to a dead meme, and its actually just because someone's in game name is spelled the same as the meme, utterly harmless and quite funny when a party member talks about the character.

the script so far is as tame as it gets, the characters are well written and no one says stupid ♥♥♥♥.

i believe i already have, both in my original post and the one replying to you being a stick in the mud. unless the game throws a unbelievably stupid curveball and has the overall quality of the voicework and localization take a nosedive mid game im fairly confident the quality will last throughout.

I think the voices are pretty good to be honest. There are some "childish" moments at certain part after the first city but thats about it from my hours of play.
