are multi-room ghosts a thing?
soloing pro highschool. low temps (below 10*C) in all the hallways (minus the front lobby)

i don't have voice recognition so i couldn't just ask the ghost for a sign or how far away it was. checked cameras for orbs and saw nothing.

i lost all my sanity before i even located the ghost, after a few hunts it had opened a door in the upper right hallway and turned the light on. setup my gear in there, got freezing temps and ghost orbs. still hunting like crazy so i wasn't keen on hanging around to try for emf, tho i did try for spirit box and got nothing. took a guess and was right- phantom.

i patrolled around a bit and noticed that some of the rooms up there were also cold, the room i found the ghost in was significantly colder (-10*C as opposed to -2*C like the neighboring rooms and all hallways)

so is this normal or should i move this to bug reporting? i knew hallway ghosts were a thing, but i've never had multiple actual rooms AND the hallway be cold before.

Yes that's what I've seen occasionally too and I don't hink it's a bug of any kind. It can happen in any of the levels. I had the ghost roam the upper hallway in the farmhouse but his main room was the attic. At the Asylum we had the whole ground floor hallway under 10°C and it took us 20 Minutes to get all the evidence. We had to relocate the ghost book multiple times until we got the writing in one of the bathrooms. Yesterday I played a solo game in Edgefield and had a hallway/bedroom ghost upstairs.

It is very easy to locate the ghost room with the thermometer most of the time, so I welcome any changes that make it a bit harder finding the main ghost area with it.

the thing that makes me think it's a bug is that the ghost ONLY spawned in that one room, and barely wandered at all, despite the low temp reading reaching a very large area. it felt less like a ghost that wandered and more like i was just getting incorrect readings.

Maybe it's a bug

It is normal. Either it really was just a room ghost and it wandered like crazy, or it was a hallway ghost and kept going into the rooms.

it didn't wander at all, and yet the hallway on the opposite side of the building was freezing.

We just did an Asylum run last night. Started with no Thermos just for fun and as soon as we walked in a phone rang in the middle next to us...we thought "Easy, peasy". It made a ton of noise and was active the entire time we were in there.

After a LONG time of trying to find the room we finally grabbed our Thermos and found every single hallway, north and south, was cold including one stairway and both the entire downstairs and entire upstairs. All the rooms were normal.

We spent over an hour there and finally had to leave due to non-stop chain hunts. We never got a single piece of evidence.

It turned out to be a shade. I've never seen a ghost roam that much and have never had one that hard to deal with. It felt very unwinnable.

hallway ghosts are HARD. i was lucky mine wasn't a true hallway ghost, and thus eventually opened the door and turned on the light for me.

True, but we've never had a hallway ghost take such a large area for itself. Both floors with all the hallways was a bit much. We never stood a chance. =(

The room that the ghost presents the most will be cold as if it is it's favourite room, but the favourite room(the room where you'll find orbs) might be a completely different one.
The guy at the video up there had 3 zones haunted - hallway, entry room AND the office.

Yes, hallway ghosts are a thing, and I hate/love them. Hate them because it can be hard to narrow down. Love them because it can be hard to narrow down......

odd, yesterday I had a highschool hallway ghost and it froze everything, including the lobby.

They can't switch their haunted rooms, they can roam however.

this seems to be a new normal behavior. had a high school ghost lower the temperature from 60F to 51-52F from the stairwells through all upstairs halls.

it was a demon and a very attack-y one at that, we noticed as it was hunting that it seemed to be coming from the same room every time. i poke around, and we find that one of the rooms is freezing, and the freezing is actually bleeding into every room adjacent.

might be difficulty related, or it might be that strong temperature ghosts will drain not only their room but the hall outside the room to a lesser extent.

thinking on it, if so it would really help on school and asylum. knowing what floor the ghost is on can really speed things up.

They should be able to, it would be far more interesting, game is a little easy atm tbh.
