3 hour review:

Lonely Mountains gives a premium experience to old 3rd person omniscient driving games from the browser days.
With an artstyle that is reminiscent of Art of Rally, a game about car drifting, Lonely Mountains: Downhill tries their spin at trail biking.

What this game does incredibly well is making the biking experience feel authentic where you can carve your own path. Unless you crash you're entirely free to go any which way you feel is fastest. With 6 different bikes to choose from you can lean more into bikes that offroad, or bikes that do well on a track. Selecting a different bike will open different abilities to you on tracks, and sometimes picking big offroad bikes allows you to take extra paths on courses which really give an authentic feeling to flying down a mountain trail. With tiny easter eggs to find along with difficult challenges for late-game playing the game is rounded out in a nice way.

Unfortunately just when you're enjoying your ride it will get cut pretty short. Even with all the DLC piled on making your subtotal rise above $20, there isn't actually many paths in the game to bike down. Along with a rather lackluster graphical package to customize my rider, the game could be offering more either in parts, or in polish.

All in all, still a good experience so far- if the game is on sale then I'd recommend picking it up

Beautiful art style, really fun gameplay, great level design, the seasons keep it interesting.
