Big tip that made it easier for me: Only get behind her when she starts winding up Scarlet Cyclone. She'll waste most of the attack angling it behind her. As for avoiding contact damage, use the jump kick whenever she leaps (press down+jump after double jumping)

Another tip, use blunt weapons. Less blood for her to absorb = less hp recovered, makes the fight easier.

doesn't matter. if you aren't going to take her down stupidly fast she'll paint half the arena in blood, in case you missed it: her attacks use blood, they make blood splatter, which she heals with, basically if she gets a single crimson cyclone off, she's getting fully healed. (and she resists blunt damage, so it'll be harder to kill her quickly due to reduced damage)

also yeah, if you want to jump over her, you don't want to be standing there once her animation ends, just backstep out, and generally just don't jump over her (if you know the spacing you can duck under crimson cyclone, and while that doesn't really make for a good damage opportunity it prevent blood rain entirely, if she can't paint the ceiling with blood, she can't weaponise it.)

Also I would use a quick DPS weapon such as the Rhava swords and Also use the Heads as well. That should help negate her healing abilities if only a little.

It's pretty hilarious, though, that in NG+ you can damage her faster than Blood Steal is healing her.

LOL! I usually do not support this meme, but I think this is the appropriate time to use it~

If your biggest issue with the Bloodless fight is her body's contact damage, then I suggest that you improve your dodging skills, and do so drastically.
Her movements are predictable and relatively sluggish; you should not be having a hard time dodging her body's movement if you are playing attention to her animates.
Remember, every enemy has a set number of animations when they attack, move, cast spells, etc.
If you can recognize these animations, then all that is left to do is to dodge at the right moments.

To be fair to the original poster, the difficulty curve in this game is all over the place and the Bloodless boss is a big step up in difficulty compared to the previous bosses.

Something else worth pointing out is that Bloodless is vulnerable to poison (as are a lot of the bosses in this game).

Yup! I found this out during my Nightmare difficulty run; Toxic Storm is my new best friend~

Bloodless wasn't a difficulty spike. She's about average if you haven't done any farming or grinding and easier than that if you have. The only hurdle in her fight is her healing. Once you know she has that trick in her bag, you just equip yourself for DPS and wail on her.

If you're taking long enough in boss fights that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ poison, notable "does one or two hits worth of damage in the space of about thirty seconds" status effect is doing serious work then you have some really serious problems.

Uh...it is called "Fighting Bloodless in Nightmare difficulty" , bro.

Try it some time and you'll understand what I am talking about; that is, if you can manage it~

To be honest as stupid as it sounds, you can actually do better by just DUCKING next to her instead of dodging most of the time.

Seriously. You'd be surprised how often she goes for an umbrella swipe that goes right over your head, as you hold down and keep attacking. If you have some food and potions you can almost certainly cheese her that way to victory.

Got nothin for that stupid horizontal blood twister move that covers 80% of the screen though, that ♥♥♥♥'s full on undodgeable unless she happens to start it at a real high angle and you crouch near her.

I got the medal on nightmare difficulty (fresh NG, basically no shards either, i just sort-of forget I have them during boss fights) If you're using poison you're going to waste a lot of time doing basically no damage. seriously, don't bother.
