What performance to expect on a GTX 970 + i5 4690k?

Thats what i thought, but the way you replied made it seem like it was set in stone for the guy, or he expressed it like that.

My point still stands, buying into a socket with no potential upgrade path is bad, imho.

I used to sell hardware, and always adviced against it

You could reach 60 FPS at 1080p. Don't listen to the first clown answering you for example, who has a lovely potato PC btw.

For example, this guy is reaching even more than 60 FPS with a 770 2gb and a i5-3570K (OC) :

my old potatoe can handle this game fine with maxed out settings except shadows on medium... what are u even talking? :D
