Not able to switch roles?

Whenever I create a class (like a recon class), I can't switch my unit type. It's incredibly annoying because I wanted to be a sniper but I couldn't since it won't let me change my role.

When creating a unit, you will always be set as the Squad Lead of said unit. When a unit has been created by someone else, only then can you come in and have selection of class type. For recon, when you create a unit, you are assigned squad lead of the unit and cant change because its a 2-man unit, expecting for the second person to be the sniper. If you want to play sniper, your best bet is to have a buddy create the unit, then join on him.

And this is why that system is there in the first place. Seems to work fine
