or that moving the mouse doesn't also move the camera?
If its the former, i have absolutely no idea what you're on, I've never seen that happen.
If its the latter, Only the Berserker has the 'action' style ofcamera movement so far. All other classes utilize the normal mouseclick to rotate the camera.
I press "rotate right" button (default bind "D") - char rotates, camera does not move.
I press "strafe right" button ("E") - char turns to the right and walks in that direction, camera keeps him in the center of screen, but does not rotate.
When I have my character standing on a screen facing me or side, and I press "move forward" it runs not in direction of camera (as he should), but in direction char is currently facing.
Do you have same controls behavior or it's only my client settings bugged?
Normally for any mmorpg: the camera always looks where the character is looking. If I jump, strafe, turn, it does not matter, I always see my character from behind, in the center of a screen. When I do strafe, char usually do side steps, without face turning.
To check - just login into any popular mmorpg, like WoW, ArcheAge and so on.
Yes I understand, that I can rotate camera using keys or mouse, but that's additional action that usually used to look around while auto running on a mount, or to admire on my char from a face side, and that's all.
Yeah, no. The camera works exactly in Bless as it works in other tab target styyle MMOs. have you even played those games? Cos i sure have. Leftclick hold rotates camera, rightclick hold rotates caracter.
Thats how its worked in every tab target MMO.
We are not speaking about intentional camera rotation. In combat, there is no time for that. I'm speaking only about default camera behavior and positioning.
Does it works as I described for everyone or my settings in wrong/bugged?
I press "D == right" char rotates to the right with camera following. I always see char back, never side or face. I press strafe right == "E" char walks right, keeping his facing forward. I press forward - char always moves where camera looks.
Even if I rotated camera using LClick-hold rotate, as soon as I press any movement button, char rotates and moves in correct direction related to camera, not to his facing.
Then I'll be blunt, I haven't encountered a tab target mmo that snaps your camera behind your character upon movement at all times. Bless is no different.
Only 'action' style cameras do that due to the crosshairs needing to be on target, and thats a simply byproduct of the action camera being locked to mouse movement.
As for your Arcehage example, thats probably a camera setting I've never bothered to enable because that sounds like a godawful way for the camera to operate.
