IP block in the JP server. Why?
Is it possible to remove the IP Block in the JP server? Since the Early Access will be a soft launch, without a wipe at the end, western players will have no chance to actually test the game and made mistakes, because it will be "for real" since the beginning.

Is it possible to remove the IP Block from the JP Server? Isn't NEOWIZ self-publishing the game?

I know it is possible to bypass the IP Block with VPN, but... IDK it sounds wrong to bypass rules.

To me that seems plenty of time to figure things out and possibly reroll a time or two before game is officially set for release and it's unlikely we'll get the whole version in EA (they'll probably have some major update before 'official' release, possibly some tweaks they determine are necessary from the feedback and metrics received during EA)

Also, since from the interviews it seems like the steam version is going to be a bit different then the other versions released so far, the meta you might figure out and learn in the Japan client may not be applicable upon our version x:

But if you were interested, here's the link of bless being ran by someone else for japan server: http://bless-source.com/news/japanese-closed-beta-to-start-on-april-28th/

Bless in Korea is ran by Neowiz I think -and as far as I know all mmos in that region are always ip blocked or restricted to needing a phone number or something to get an account it might just be country's legality than something decided by Neowiz themselves-

But that version is even further behind than Japan's client so even if the gate was thrown open, I don't think it would be as helpful as you think, not even if you were to mess around on the rebuild server. Think I read someone they've stopped updating that version and possibly even slowed releasing new stuff on the Japan client until the Steam version was ready.

there is no rule that states you cannot use a VPN, but since you posted this in discussions they might add the rule now lol, gg.... :verybad:

I'm curious what kind of mistakes do you think people would make ? to warrent wasteing NeoWiz's time removing the block on the JP server. Hardly seems practical to be honest.

again TrueWarlord strikes again with his strange mind...but here a proper answer

Do some research on the web and you will see the JPN Version has a different Publisher
-GameOn- is the Publisher of the Japan Version of Bless Online

this means:
They have a Contract with GameOn wich they have to fullfill until its ending time agreement
As long Neowiz isnt step away from the Contract GameOn will be still in Charge of BLESS Japan and they can decide about the IP Block, not the Developers because the Publisher signed a Contract with Neowiz Bless Studios for this Region and thats all you need to know.

LOL sorry? =P

Well, the problems stand still. Early Access will be a soft launch, so no time for testing, mistakes, etc.

VPN is not a crime, but still is something you use to bypass the rules, kind of... lol. Also, VPN totally kills the connection (most of the time), making it way worse to try stuff.

Hey Blaze, I actually did not find anything about the subject. Can you share any source about this? The same can be said about KR server?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you for the link, so that is really the reason. Sad...

Well, I'm going for a competitive environment, guild stuff, so I can't wait to test the game in the soft launch, would be too much advantage for guilds that already know some stuff.
Sounds like we will need to figure out something =P

The game still runs like crap with a good rig on the JP servers; played for about 3 hours today and was not impressed. Sluggish and the UI was a pain to look at with no way of moving UI elements around. Gameplay itself felt alright but everything else about the game just does not impress. If this is the version we have to look forward to with the early access build then there's gonna be alot of pissed off players.

Lie.
Having more than 200 hrs gameplay on JP server, I barely experienced lags and/or disconnects. Choose always a VPN with transfer above 200 and ping below 20.

Really? Are you claiming that VPN does not slow user connection? What VPN are you using? Pretty sure it is not a free one.

Most people that I know, using free VPNs like SoftEather, are getting above 450 ms. Without VPN it would be something around 230 ms.

While it is possible to play with 450 ms, it is known that VPNs will slow your connections, unless you're paying for a specific gaming VPN.

Since you claim I'm lying, would love to see your ping (you can check it in the task manager, resource monitor).
