That aside, How does one stop from being scammed in this crazy game market where the biggest money earners are mobile clone games. Simple, DON"T pay for it without seeing how it looks on launch, DON'T buy or gain founder packs till you have ready the refund policy and understand it,(on Steam every game has this), IF you feel the game has troubles, DON"T use the cash shop. Scammers only gain money if you spend, and no game company will show up at your house and force you spend money on them by force, if you choose to spend before you have all the facts, then you chose this path.
As far as MMO's on Steam, it has BDO, FF14, ESO, and a hand full of others, all have ways of gaining your money rather it's paid add-ons, expansions, cash shops, paid subscriptions, can't go to new area with out more money being spent, etc.
Most true scams have one thing in common, they vanish with your money and don't come back till they have a new idea they can fool the weak minded with. They don't repackage an old known scams. I played Bless Online, My children, my friends, and my self, all got refunds. Including founder Pack refunds. Scams never return money or allow you to regain your money, i.e. the problem with some Crowd Funded games lately.
Neowiz made a bad attempt at the MMO market and tried to clone others way of thinking and run it on a mobile logic, they rushed to market unready and had no clue what was up or down, that is not a scam it was stupidity. They took a loss and got crushed, just a fact.
Steam is also a business, their business is hosting and launching games in a community environment. They host and let you choose what you like and want to spend your money on, by doing so they to can profit and keep their lights and servers on. You in the end are the only one that choose how to spend your money and on what. So, do it wisely and don't blame others for your choices. Again, thanks
I fully agree, a scams are only a scam if you fall for it and spend money. Most scams rely on people being naive and impulsive when spending money. I never buy anything until I see where game is going and how rapidly it advances after being announced.
Thanks
Cyberpunk got fixed. This game however was never fixed. Instead, they brought it to the console, renamed their development studio (round8 is just neowiz) and called it unleashed and then came back to the pc again. And as a bonus neowiz added all kind of datamining stuff to it, which resulted that it's not playable for those in the netherlands and belgium by normal means.
