The soft launch for Linux is now live!

How do I access this version?

You can access by using the beta branch p-t-r. If you're not sure how to do this then here is a guide on how.

What's the plan in the future?

Well this is one of the first builds for Linux, and as such is likely subject to some bugs we have not found yet that are OS specific. As the key members of the team will be away for over 2 weeks during the Christmas holidays, we will not be able to address all issues that you find during this period. However, on our return we will dive right back in. After that we'll have the official launch of this version early 2019.

I've found a bug, and i'm sure it's a Linux related bug, what do I do

Developers Note

Our goal with soft launching this version of Mechanicus is to hopefully deliver a build to you guys that you can enjoy over the holidays on your favourite OS. We hope this goal is achieved, but only time will tell.

I'm on PTR branch, but it's still launching with Proton, not native Linux, and i see the same issue as before, like no intro video (black screen i can pass with Esc).

Already did that, reinstall, check local files, etc

I tried more.

- Desinstall the game from Steam.
- Manually delete all files under /.config/unity3d/BulwarkStudios/
- Launch Steam
- opt for PTR
- install
- Relaunch Steam
- Check local files
- Run the game despite having "runs with Steam Play" on screen

Now it doesn't start at all. It goes on "running" for 3-4 seconds, then nothing

I made some change in the game settings, can you tell me if after a steam reboot everything is fine?

I don't know if you need to uninstall and reinstall the game completly. Steam has to redownload the full game.
