Flame Bruiser too strong
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1377212223

This is supposed to be a normal enemy, and I find it wayyy harder than any mini-bosses on the last chapter, the orbs do too much damage and can almost never be stopped in time.

The orb's damage should be nerfed, maybe just on the first turn, but right now this is just too much.

Why haven´t you killed any of the Orbs? The Bruiser can only ever get out of control if you don´t do that!

I have had trouble with Bruiser a grand total of once, and I have played two of the Characters to Ascesion 15, and Defect to 7 (I guess). It is trivial as long as one kills the damn Flames. That or Wraith Forms and bursts the Bruiser down while ignoring the Flames.

I havent killed the orbs because this is literally the second turn of the fight and I had no way of killing any of them.

Then it sounds either rotten luck or like you built a deck that is incapable to deal with low health bursting enemies. In the latter case, that is a flaw in your design, not that of the Bruiser´s. Considering that those kinds of Decks are exactly what Bruiser is supposed to counter.

I think the idea is that he's probably supposed to be an elite in the final version of the game.

The third level only has two dedicated elites so far.

He is hardly elite levels. By act 3 you are expected to output an average of 40 damage or block per turn. That usually means 2 dead orbs unless your deck is weighted towards single target high cost cards.

The options vs Bruiser are:

1: Focus down Bruiser superfast. Remember that if Bruiser dies, the Minions die too, and IIRC correctly Flame Orbs will never do their 25 damage attack on turn 1, so if you can land obscene damage combos you can finish him quick.

2: Use AoE to efficiently mulch minions while working down Bruiser. Flame Orb health is pretty lackluster so a good AoE can get them all.

3: Field ridiculous block, as IIRC the Flame Orbs blow up after hitting.

This enemy never annoyed me ever, even though I met this guy about 50 times. It never killed me, and rarely caused more damage than 10. Can hardly imagine how you come up with this conclusion, very interesting.

This seems like you've built your deck wrong honestly. The Orbs have super low HP in act 3 and only get dangerous if you let them live for 2 turns (and even then, it's only 25 damage)

Its incredibly annoying when he spawns two at the start of the fight, as he has here. Especially if you are going for a greedy rampish build.

But otherwise he is very easy. Seriosuly 16-20 hp is NOTHING at this stage of the game. You should have both original orbs killed before they can do their big pop, and once you've gotten them down you fall into a nice and easy pattern. Kill the ball, leftover energy goes to Brand wannabe, and when he swings at you you block as much as you can and then you have 1 1/2 turns of free damage.

If you can't take him, you're deck was never going to beat the boss.

Lol what, flame bruiser is the easiest hallway fight by far, you just have to kil the summons asap, then it's a breeze. Guy doesn't even scale, it's usually my best fight when I have some way to heal up (bird urn + creative AI for example).
