Thx Zephrys for inspiring the devs, probably.
Plated armors 3/4 each turn is only viable choice, but too slow.
My first run[puu.sh] after update and i'm lucky to get 3 wish (first one on 2nd floor, second on 16th floor and on 38 floor duplicator event)
New one? Only at low Ascension to farm Gold, or if one has a way to heal constantly. Which, considering the only native heal for Watcher is ANOTHER Rare, means basically never.
I could understand if it was Ironclad Card, or Defect. But Watcher? :/
I'm sure I could use the old wish for something useful in the right scenario, like double deva form but it was much more rng and deck reliant, where the new one is just insane with the right relics and probably brilliance too.
And that is kinda the problem exactly: It is very dependant on having low Ascension and/or specific Relics, or, t the very least, another specific rare Card. Which is simply bad design.
The old one was functional when one had one or more value cards in one's deck. Which was an easy condition to fulfill.
Or, to put it this way: Old one I used despte the 4 Mana Cost. The new one, despite 1 Mana cost, I would never use without those specific Artefacts and/or Brilliance. So pretty much never.
And I can not fathom why anyone would think this change was actually such a good idea that they'd ACTUALLY implement it.
Vault ends turn, so...
You're right, I'm dumb.
So I'm having trouble following this, and haven't got the chance to try the card yet. Does it just give gold, or is it a random unspecified effect?
Assuming Upgraded: +40 Gold, +6 Strength, or stacking armour, at the cost of 25% of one's remaining health. In other words, yeah, it is strong, but not very interesting nor viable unless one has enough health regen to make the health loss a non-issue.
And before anyone goes and brings up that whole, "this game is about making guesses" argument, this isn't an informed guess. It's hidden behind wording that explicitly tells you nothing of what it might do, only the cost of doing it. For a quarter of your health, you should at least get to know the odds of getting a Strength boost vs. a tiny amount of gold.
It really should at least be changed to something like, "Lose 25% of your current HP, choose to gain Strength, Plated Armor, or Gold. Exhaust." At least then the player has some idea what's going to happen like every other card in the game.
