Is blasphemy really worth it?

I have seen some people defending it, saying it can be an incredible finisher, but my point is, The Watcher already has a high risk, high reward card that is Tantrum ,

and that does not kill you.
Ok, Blasphemy pushes it further, but I feel the pay off is still not strong enough, unless your whole deck and hand is built around it. It also doesn't help it costs 1 energy when nonupgraded.
What I would change is - not necessarily all of them, one or some of them:
  • Making it a power instead or adds exhaust to it, so it leaves your hand. You COULD make combos of drawing it again and change stances, but I dunno...Although sounds cool, it seems too limited.
  • Exhaust all skills and add random attacks for each exhaust. It's your last turn anyways, no point getting block.
  • Instead of killing you, make artifact to counter it or deal 50 damage against yourself, something like that, so if you mess up, it's not 100% fail and it provides more interactions then just a finisher.
I could go on with ideas, my issue that although blasphemy can be good, I feel it's too one dimensional and arguably, other mantra cards do it close enough without the enormous risk of killing yourself.

Also, as a side note, taking big risks isn't a Wrath stance trait?
Divinity doesn't make you take double damage.
I get it it's a "divine punishment", but I dunno... it just feels odd to me.
