Negative status and blocked attacks
When you block sucessfully an attack negative status given by the enemy when attacks shouldn't be applied I think, because you blocked the attack! Or at least most of them.

What do you mean by "negative status"? Status cards (Burn, Dazed, Wound, Slimed) or debuffs?

If you mean debuffs, do you want the same mechanics apply to character's attack to monsters?

That would make blocking much too strong, I guess. For that you have the "artifact" buff, that at least prevents status effects (but not negative cards added to your deck, though).

Some enemies would become trivial, if you could block their debuffs, as well. Or put another way: You would have to balance the game differently, were you able to block those effects.

Also, there are relics, which make you immune to certain effects.

I mean logical blocked status, like wound. A debuffs "magic" casted by a "wizard", for example, would not be cancelled when blocking, obviously. Slimed could be debated.
The clearest example is wound. If you don't take any damage from an attack, how could you be wounded?
