hi! thanks for the response but it is appearing blank for me. Are you a developer and can you confirm if this particular battle has the metallicize or is it a bug? thanks!
Look forward to what buff they have next time.
Try not to jump the gun again if it's max hp and you don't notice.
hi! what I meant was in the battle they do not normally have anything other than an artifact to start but this time they were showing metallicize. Cannot be sure if they started with this or if it is a bug because I used the plated armour potion. Do you know if they start with the metallicize in this special battle? thanks!
Yes, burning or marked elites have one of four buffs. Either strength, metallicize, regen, or max hp. All of these also scale with the act where you decided to fight one for the green key.
hi! not sure what you mean by spell it out then, I am just looking for some information on whether it was a bug or as designed. I'm not sure anyone could know that information about the 4 buffs that you were hiding but thanks for sharing!
There is nothing too implausibly stupid for this subforum.
hi there! not sure what any of this means or what you are trying to say. I have my answer now, apparently they receive 1 of 4 buffs. thanks for responding!
hi! I think it's unfair to call me stupid, I was just seeing if someone knew where the buffs came from. When I first played marked elite battle against the gremlin there was seemingly no difference but the sentries had metallicize after I used a plated armour potion so had to see if it was a bug. thanks for your input anyway :)
hey again, also just wondering are you the reason someone downvoted the game because of 'toxic community' or was that someone else?
Cuz like, ye, I can be snarky at times. I try not to, but it's sorta hard in cases like this, which is probably why you're asking. I mean, real talk, I would rather be a little snarky while giving pointers instead of missing the original poster's point entirely.
(And fyi, Flowerino and I are on good terms and apparently poke fun at each other sometimes.)
As for yourself, I honestly thought you'd put 2 and 2 together if I highlight the crucial part of your post and put extra emphasis on it by pointing out that you already answered your own question.
[TL,DR down below.]
Now, as for the community, there are memorable examples of less than friendly individuals. Some have left, some stuck around, some arrived recently or will inevitably arrive in the future.
The thing is that a game is not necessarily safe from becoming competitive just because it's singleplayer, and competitive players are usually the ones who try harder, get into arguments with opinionated newcomers, and can come across as condescending.
It's like a vicious cycle. The so called scrubs post kneejerk reactions or call the game bad or poorly balanced because they refuse to "git gud" (shoutouts to Dark Souls), the so called elitists justifiably think the scrubs give the game a bad rep, so they berate them, which in turn also gives the game a bad rep because they could've been less aggressive.
Ideally, there shouldn't even be an incentive to respond aggressively. This rarely happens in casual or niche games where longtime players just want more people to have a good time.
Competitive games though? Hearthstone? League of Legends? Whichever shooter is popular at the time? There will be scrubs, there will be elitists, and of course there will be people who blow things out of proportion immediately and call someone toxic because they made fun of someone's misplay or called someone whiny for not beating the first boss or something.
But again, it's a give and take. Various people whom I never thought would make a straightforward and forthcoming post have clarified that the only reason they get disrespectful is when it's in response to biased nonsense and other such things that scrubs post.
[TL,DR as promised:]
It's a challenging card game that intrinsically doesn't have a clear line of play every step of the way, with a high entry barrier and skill ceiling. It was never gonna be all sunshine and rainbows.
[Bonus as encouragement:]
If this community looks toxic, I advise you to hang out on Reddit and Discord.[discord.gg]
Notice anything at first glance? Less venting, fewer false bug reports. That's what ends up here because everyone needs a Steam account to even play the game whereas not everyone goes out of their way to make a Reddit account or join the Discord server.
It's like big vs small Twitch channels or Youtube comments vs oldschool forums. More Youtube accounts, more outliers. Fewer forum accounts, fewer people that actually care.
We're actually twins. Except Zu isn't a cat. (How does that even work?)
I think that it would probably take more than one person to be a "community". Plus, Zu's actually pretty helpful, if you can get past the "I've posted this 100 times already, why won't these people just search the threads before posting ANOTHER thread" attitude that many of us have ended up with.
i don't understand, you've phrased this as if you are not one of the unfriendly players?
You have to be new to the internet if you think Zu is unfriendly. He's not going out of his way to be nice to you, but he's certainly not throwing out personal attacks at you.
