Transforming Ascender's Bane - sometimes yes sometimes no

Inoconsistent.

When i got starting choice and choose to transform 2 cards, I could transform AB in some other curse and then later i removed it form the deck.

Then in another run i got even where you can upgrade, remove or transform a card. I choose a transform but then coudln't pick AB.

Not sure if that is intended.
