Slay the Spire
Worth buying for mods?
I already have the game on switch but I didn't realize there were mods until just recently. Do you guys think it's worth buying again for the mods? I have to admit they do look pretty interesting.

I think so. It isn't just new relics and characters, but also entire acts. Some mods feature a full three new acts with new enemies, relics, events, bosses, etc.

There's some major QoL mods, and content of every type. Characters, acts, relics, enemies, cards, events, bosses, even entirely new game modes. And while the quality varies wildly and finding the good stuff can take some time, the best the workshop has to offer is amazing.

So if you really like the game, but wish it had more to experience, then purchasing the PC version for the mods would probably be worth it.
There are a handful of really really amazing mods, and then a ton more that are at least fun for a run or two. Expect some jank, nothing's ever as perfectly polished as the base game, but I enjoy trying out every new modded character once.

Packmaster is the GOAT.

Thanks! I've tried and liked a lot of Roguelike deck builders, but none of them come close to STS. My wife and I just played the boardgame all weekend too.

Thats awesome!

If you like the board game... there is a mod that makes the game multiplayer...
Don't forget the free Downfall expansion.
You get to play as the villains, and each one has unique and in-depth mechanics based on their boss fights.

And the mod version is compatible with the co-op mod!
