Yeah, or not. I already have and play StS, thanks.

It doesn`t seem bad

I feel like there are 100 copycats on Steam by now, this is definitely not the most blatant.

In the short gameplay sequences there are actually some cards that are direct copies of ones from StS and I noticed one of the characters making orbs (exactly like Defect). There maybe more blatant copies, but this is still pretty shameless.

People have been pondering their orbs for ages, it`s not a Megacrit copyright :conwayshrug:

Sure it is, it's just tied up in court at the moment. So the question is left dangling.:lunar2020playfuldog::lunar2020gigglemonkey:

Zero cost, 6 damage, add a copy of this card to your graveyard. StS or Moons Creed? Oh, its both!

And so on.

yeah, and the very first card shown is Fiend Fire lol
but, again, none of these mechanics were invented by megacrit :conwayshrug

The focus seems to be on... let`s say.... lots of relics obtainable during the run.

Definitely doesn`t look groundbreaking
and it`s probably gonna be crap.... but:

It's an advertisement for Slay the Spire but with less appealing art. No thanks.

To be fair, you can safely assume that every card in StS existed in Magic The Gathering first. Good ideas shouldn't be discarded simply because someone else also had the same idea.

Like what, specifically?

Thematically yes, since these sorts of games will tend to have attacks, defence, buffs, debuffs and so on. Exactly the same though? Struggling to think of any, and thats mainly because the mechanics of the game are very different. Lightning bolt for example (1 mana, 3 damage to any target) was considered to be one of the best MtG direct damage cards in the game, but it would be horrendous in StS (50% of a stock strike). Completely agree there are similarities with the sorts of cards in the two games, but this "Moons Creed" has at least some that are exactly the same as StS (and thats only based on watching a short gameplay video so im betting theres a lot more).

Tbh if they have brought some new ideas to the table then good luck to them and maybe I (and others) are judging it a bit harshly on first impressions. The fact that in an 80 second video clip I spotted a fair few direct copy/pastes is maybe not a good sign though :)
