The easiest character to win against heart is silent and defect because they have absolutely bonkers defensive capabilities. I had a silent run where I was generating enough block to tank every attack the heart threw at me for 6 turns without wraith form and turn 6 I killed it.
Ironclad is incredibly difficult to manage. His defensive cards cost a lot of energy for how much they give you. The card where you get to keep your block after each turn un-upgraded uses 3 energy, 2 if upgraded. The heart is incredibly fast paced and you are given no time to "set yourself up" you gotta play strong from the beginning. Worse is the weakness and block debuffs you get that last for turns 2 and 3, status cards being drawn at bad RNG moments.
The fight with the heart is not supposed to always be winnable which is why I think the devs unlock new ascensions and stuff after you beat chapter 3 instead of after heart. I can't count how many times I've went at it with decks so broken if I was playing infinite dungeon I would still be going and it destroys me without me being able to put up a fight cuz critical cards were not drawn at the right time and my ability to draw new cards or scry proved ineffective.
I could say yes and it's supposed an optional extra hard fight. If you can't block 60+ dmg by turn 2 you have 50% to die. If your scaling is at the bottom of your deck, tough luck you're dead.
Or no, because it's as strong as intended. The heart wasn't balanced/patched for some time, so I think the devs are pretty happy with its difficulty.
