heart too strong?
I lost to heart as Ironclad with 170 max hp, cultist potion, nilry's codex. My deck was average but upgraded. And I'm a seasoned player -.-

Just like everything else in the game you have to actively prep for the heart. It definitely is kind of brutal but without more details (class, deck, ascension level, relics) There's really not a whole lot of advice I can give aside from ask did you pick up any of the specific heart hard counters if you saw them (Tungston Rod, Flame Barrier, Clatrops, Disarm, etc)

In all seriousness, LHGreen does have a bit of a point. Nilyry's Codex aside, what did your deck actually consist of, and how much HP did you have when you started the fight? I wouldn't say anything constitutes an "auto-win" against the Heart (short of an infinite deck capable of generating an arbitrarily high amount of block), but that sounds like a winning combination at face value.

I don't remember how I won, but I managed to beat the heart with the watcher. I did not know it was supposed to be a difficult fight, and I think I defeated it incredibly easy. I wish I could help you. If I knew the fight was supposed to be hard, I would have kept some details to pass on to others.
You have to build and plan for the heart / act 4 elites. The heart is supposed to be "too strong"

Even if you build around and plan for the heart you can get completely destroyed by it anyways. I had a run 2 games ago on watcher where I killed The Timekeeper on turn 3, took out the miniboss before heart on turn 2. Then I get to the heart, my weakness cards and other cards to help mitigate the damage he's doing were never drawn before I died. Only had 20 block, no weakness to take his 67 damage attack to the face. I save scummed and reloaded and scried and scrawled in different orders to try to win and it was impossible to survive his attacks long enough to win.

The easiest character to win against heart is silent and defect because they have absolutely bonkers defensive capabilities. I had a silent run where I was generating enough block to tank every attack the heart threw at me for 6 turns without wraith form and turn 6 I killed it.

Ironclad is incredibly difficult to manage. His defensive cards cost a lot of energy for how much they give you. The card where you get to keep your block after each turn un-upgraded uses 3 energy, 2 if upgraded. The heart is incredibly fast paced and you are given no time to "set yourself up" you gotta play strong from the beginning. Worse is the weakness and block debuffs you get that last for turns 2 and 3, status cards being drawn at bad RNG moments.

The fight with the heart is not supposed to always be winnable which is why I think the devs unlock new ascensions and stuff after you beat chapter 3 instead of after heart. I can't count how many times I've went at it with decks so broken if I was playing infinite dungeon I would still be going and it destroys me without me being able to put up a fight cuz critical cards were not drawn at the right time and my ability to draw new cards or scry proved ineffective.

"heart too strong?"
I could say yes and it's supposed an optional extra hard fight. If you can't block 60+ dmg by turn 2 you have 50% to die. If your scaling is at the bottom of your deck, tough luck you're dead.
Or no, because it's as strong as intended. The heart wasn't balanced/patched for some time, so I think the devs are pretty happy with its difficulty.
