Tips are needed for Ironclad
So I return to the game after a long time. I managed to beat the game once in almost 10 runs. I would like to master the Ironclad now and win consistently/more. I don't know what I am missing so the tips are welcome. No need to say that my main difficulty is the last boss.

Also, here's a good guide for getting a better handle on the basics, that favors 'Clad examples.

You're gonna have to be more specific about the areas you need help with if someone's gonna give you advice that isn't already covered in there. Including just which last boss you mean.

Thanks for the information. I did read that guide a while ago.

Main tip that helped me switching from other characters to Ironclad: make the most out of your relic. This means that you can take some damage and play more aggressively than you would otherwise. After playing Silent I was too used to stall and block, this usually doesn't work well with Ironclad.

Winning strategies usually involve some strength scaling, but you can also try a Shield Bash deck if you're offered an early Barricade.

Ironclad is simple, but teaches "health is a resource" better than any other character imo.

Check out the other current thread on Ironclad, too. There's a lot more information there.

Eh more just stuff from two specific people. The rest is for the most part ok.

Yeah, and the rest of us argue about it and clarify things until it gets... well, less wrong.

Good to know.

Good luck, I have no clue what happened. I was following the advice received in my other thread, reached (and failed at) the third boss three tines in a row, and suddenly I am getting destroyed by monsters that used to be easy.
It's not the relics, I am getting good ones, they are simply doing damage on a level I never saw before.
I think the trick must be somewhere in card exhaustion, but I simply haven't figured it out yet.

Ironclad has four types of card deck builds. You can rarely get a perfect deck. Even if you get the perfect deck there is no guarantee that you draw the card properly so the draw might screw you to death. My win percentage record on Ironclad is 10%. There are peoples who claim that they win consistently. I don't understand how they do that.

I don't know what to believe, I suspect there is some exaggerating going on.
One guy shared a photo of a 250 card deck or some such, another talked about having 300 hit points.
I am getting basically the same caliber decks though, some above average, and I am suddenly getting clobbered. I don't remember the three bird men ever doing 21 points damage each before. Feels like maybe difficulty gets harder by itself? No clue, who know.

I don't think that you could have a deck of 250 cards or 300 HP.

Three bird keeps buffing themselves each turn so they could do lots of damage if you don't kill them quickly. I believe that they appear in act 2.
