Endless mode suddenly stopped working

I have been playing the game for a while and unlocked custom mode.
I have played around with it for a while and was enjoying playing on endless mode.
I went to play on that mode again tonight and now It lets me check the box to select it but when the game starts it is now in endless mode.

It's driving me mad so I really hope someone can tell me why it has happened.

hi are you starting a new game?
if so, you need to find the big purple elite hiding on the maps of act 2 or 3, and beat it, and to also then use the top right quests icon to claim/unlock endless mode.

(just be careful not the make a mistake i sometimes make, in my eagerness to unlock endless, and attack it soon as i see it in act 2, if not properly prepared and ready for battling it - it could be worth waiting for act 3) :)
