metallicize is too slow. you get 8 block for 1 energy for an upgraded defense, or 4 block for 1 energy. a lot of fights scale out of control too fast, and the metallicize diluting your deck can kill you quickly.
thats not even mentioning other block cards like flame barrier or power through.

It`s just math really
not that simple, but we can say something like that:
Act 1 fights can last a while, here Metallicize`s great
An average act 2 "tough fight" is usually about 5 turns(a couple more for the bosses), Metallicize is between 3 and 12 block, average of 7.5(bit more for the bosses)
Act 3 is similar to act 2, about +1 turn or so average.
It`s a good act 1 card which scales okish and sports different possible synergies
like a Dodge and Roll and Roll and Roll and Roll and Roll and Roll and Roll
Looking at the old Jorbs spreadsheet, Metallicize has even a higher Elo than Shrug it Off
