Removing Curses at Merchant
1 Thing that I found in this game that was interesting is that you can actually remove curse cards at merchants for a reasonable fee (no more than any other card). I say this is pretty op. I would suggest making curse cards more expensive to dish out or make it so you can't use the merchant to get rid of them. Just an idea.

If you spend money removing curses, that means you aren't spending money removing strikes/defends. That's the real cost you're paying with curses.

Also, sometimes you may end up with more curses than you have opportunities to remove cards, and there are some relics that actually give you a bonus the more curses are in your deck, and cards that have a positive interaction with curse cards.

It's not good practice to suggest balance changes without even attempting to justify them. As the others more or less said, each curse is one *more* card you have to remove, and you only have so many opportunities to get rid of cards.

Card Removal seems perfectly reasonable to me, though I'm not crazy the price keeps going up.

Don't forget it will also increase the price of any other cards you want to remove by 25 Gold. On top of that, you still keep another weak card in your deck. I always try to avoid curses as they really slow you down your deckbuilding.

On the other end, if we had to opportunity to transform a curse into a green or red card, this would be busted. But the option to remove curse at the shop is great.

You can only remove one card at a merchant. Removing a curse cost you the chance to remove a non-curse card and optimize your deck.

There's no additional cost at the merchant. But curses do have an additional cost when it comes to transforming them. That is, they'll only transform into other curses. Which is a polite way of saying you can't transform them.

So they are, overall, harder to remove than strikes and defends.

I was very surprised that merchant can remove curse. Because after Card Hunter I expected that I cannot remove negative effects so easily.

Well, in Card Hunter you can technicly ''remove'' curses, you need to find items with a better quality (or rarity).

Maybe there should be another way to deal with curses, but I feel they already are very encumbering.
There is a curse that punishes you for removing it (Parasite), and one that you simply can't remove at all(Necronomicurse).

There are also benefits to some curses, as there are relics like Blue Candle, Darkstone Amulet, and DuVu Doll.

Some of them also have synergies; Pain, for example, synergizes well with Rupture. And Necronomicurse synergizes with both Rupture and Charon's Ashes if you have Blue Candle.

Plus you get a score bonus for getting curses, though I don't really care about score all that much (surviving is good enough for me), a lot of people do care about it though.
