Fiend Fire - is there a point?
It just seems like a weaker Whirlwind with the unfortunate side effect of exhausting your hand. That seems like a really steep price for the damage it does. Am I missing some kind of special synergy? Ironclad doesn't seem like he has a whole lot of options for exhaust decks.

Dead branch (preferably also with snecko eye). Or other powers/relics that do stuff when you exhaust cards. Also, if you have a lot of stuff that lets you draw extra cards, it could fairly often end the fight.

Even without any synergy its just very high dmg 2c card, burning your hand on early encounters doesnt hurt much.

double tap + dead branch. Also you used it in an infinite deck

Synergizes well with many exhaust relics and is a very powerful finisher with a full hand like in an evolve deck.

High burst damage AND makes your deck better without being a bother moving forward.

...exhausting your hand is why you play Fiend Fire.

Well that and its damage output (once upgraded its 40 baseline and 90 maximum), is large enough to end lesser encounters in 1 shot. But the main reason is it can instantly cleanse your deck of most of your starters or other unneeded crud for the remainder of the encounter, often while picking off a threat or cutting one down to size.

It's a very niche card for sure, but I had a small wild strike/immolation/curses/friend fire deck with the relic that does damage every time you exhaust a card, and the relic that adds 1 str per curse you have

Exhuasting cards can be amazing, not always a downside. Even without the various exhaust synergies, getting rid of basic strikes/defends or otherwise useless cards in that combat does wonders for your draw.

It's must have card in Evolve decks. Crazy damage for 2 energy (and you clear all this wounds which should be cleared).
