score?
I just clicked on "statistics" and "leaderboard", and saw some of the high scores that the game retrieved. The top numbers ranged in the millions. From what I understand of how the scoring works, which is very little, that seems to be quite impossible. It looks like you can't possibly get more than a few thousand at maximum and with excellent luck. So what the heck is the deal with these scores?

Cheating. It's apparently very easy to cheat. Doesn't seem worth the effort, though.

I see. Like: hacking? So many people do that? That's too bad.
I was just curious what a fairly decent or average score would be, I suppose I am a bit under average since I can't beat A10 yet, but score seems to be a different thing altogether.

You get a ton of points from killing leets and bosses without taking damage. Direct hp loss à la chad is fine, but still: Just because you took damage at all doesn't mean the run is intrinsically weaker than another. Don't lose sleep over it.

Ok thanks. I'm not good enough to not take damage, I have no idea what you mean by Chad, and I'm not losing sleep over a video game.

Chad is an occasional fan name for the Ironclad, so in this context: cards that you play which damage you don't count as "damage taken" for scoring purposes.

Thanks I see now.
If I use a "custom" run, does the score still "count"? I mean, if so, then possibly many people have made a custom run and thus have been able to obtain a silly score without hacking?

I mean, a custom game will show up in your run history, but it's not getting uploaded to the Daily Run leaderboard. That's a separate thing entirely. It really is a known issue that a bunch of people hack the leaderboards in this game; like, it used to be so bad that they'd have scores in the thousands and a win time of "0:00".

For the Daily Climb I rate my scores: anything over 1K is excellent. 900's are good/average, 800's are about okay/just hanging on and anything less than that: "Whew, glad that's over"

I'd say it's more that anything over 1,200, at minimum, is excellent, and it heavily depends on the modifiers.

Thanks.
I mostly play standard ascension, since I still haven't been able to beat A10 with any character. (I'm at 4 with most and 9 with defect).
Does that same rule of thumb apply to my scores there? I find it still feels a lot like luck. My best score is 1285 I think with defect, but I usually end up with under 1000.

Not that the score there actually matters much, but due to the way Ascension adds to your score and the extra elites, your score tends to go up as the Ascension goes up.

Thanks. I'm sure nothing really matters much at all and the whole point is to have fun, I was just curious.
I personally feel a larger sense of accomplishment beating the act 3 boss (have not yet beaten the heart) with a score of x than failing to do so with a score of x + y.
