Donu and Deca are in my nightmares every night.
I can't last more than 5 rounds against them with their constant barage of attacks that get crazily more powerful the longer it goes on, especially as The Silent who has a harder time stacking block generally in my opinion.

If your having a hard time stacking block make different card choices. Look for more card draw and defence options.

Generally, I find the Ironclad has more difficulty with block, especially early on. The Silent gets access to weakness status effect cards, plenty of good block cards and Footwork to make them better, as well as easy access to energy generation, card draw / generation and zero-cost attacks to fuel relics like the kunai and shuriken. I do sometimes get runs that just don't get off the ground properly on the first floor, but that happens with the Ironclad as well.

Last time i won DnD with Silence and Block and Poison Build. They didn't even damaged my HP.

One mistake it's easy to make with the Silent (or in general) is not to give enough priority to block in your deckbuilding. It only takes a few turns of not drawing any block at the wrong time to completely wreck you. Preventing damage is not sexy, but it's essential in order to husband your limited hit points over the course of a floor and be able to use campfires to upgrade / do other stuff instead of resting. I know my run is going well if at every campfire, I can choose to forego resting and know I'll be fine.

A great way to make a block build as the Silent is Nightmare and After Image or Nightmare and Footwork, or a ton of Escape Plans, and usually a few relics can carry you as well for block (especially the bandages)

I beat it in the first few turns as silent with a poison build and upgraded corpse explosion corpse explosion will be very good against them as it deals huge damage to everyone

If you're playing Silent, try a Discard deck. The idea is to reshuffle and cycle your deck over and over. As long as you don't re-roll the starting relic, you shouldn't end up with a bad starting hand.

There are two relics that make it insanely broken - Tough Bandages and Tingsha. One gives you block when you discard, the other does damage.

Powers- After Image(upgrade so you always start with it), Footwork, Noxious Fumes(upgrade), Well Laid Plans, Tools of the Trade.

Pick up as many Escape Plan, Prepared(Upgrade these ASAP), Acrobatics.

Then run Discard Cards - Tactician, Reflex, Underhanded Strike.

One or two Blurs to maintain shield and a bunch of Backflips for more card draw.

Cards like Adrenaline and Calculated Gambling are used help to find your 'Prepared' cards.

Secret Technique is the only rare neutral card worth picking up as it allows you to pull Prepared.

I feel like Donu and Deka are completely Op, I had a deck that was able to easily kill huge groups of enemys or a single strong enemy, had no problem at all getting through any enemys, probably the best card and relic combinations ive had but donu and deka completely destroyed me. I focused all of my attacks on Donu non stop, always trying to get enough block to not die which shouldnt have been a problem, with a little luck I usually was able to consitently get 20-40 block, but they just destroyed me either way. I was able to get Donu down to 25 Hp and did about 50 damage to Deka with passive damage. I fought pretty much every boss and elite enemy but these 2 seem utterly op.

I had my perfect shuffle deck, but then Donut head and Pyramid scrub said "nope" and ruined me. They are completely abusive the moment they lay their non-existent eyes on you.

Kill :bc_donut: first. He provides power while Deca can only armour up.

Managed to beat DnD without taking any damage. Just had a footwork deck with high defense and loads of extra draw / energy.

I just finished them on my first try for my first run win. It was looking horrible until I drew my exhumes and pulled all my str increase and hit Deca for 500 damage.

Ended up being whoever managed to lash out the most damage, i barely won on that regard. I did get a bit unlucky with my str cards draw though, where they came a few turns later.

I had the same issues at around 75 hours of gameplay. I just could not beat them. Stuck at 8 wins with Donu and Deca unbeat. Now at 125 hours played they don't give me any issues. I have yet to lose to them with 23 victories.

While they are definitely the hardest of the bosses, they are not unbeatable and you can consistently beat them with the correct build strategy. There really is no fight strategy other than focus Donu down. However, once you understand that there are only really 2 top tier decks that can beat any boss (as Ironclad) then they get much easier.

So if you want to actually tryhard and get the win you should almost always play either strength or block build depending on the cards you get in Act 1 encounters. Also, be sure to properly utilize the "Skip Card" button. In fact, you should be skipping more cards than you are taking in most runs.

Of course lower tier decks and combo decks that are harder to put together can win as well, and you should be looking out for these options if you are given them (such as Rampage combo decks or Exhaust combo decks). In any case, the most consistent way to beat them is to play more. Once you beat them the first time it's like a speedbump and they will give you minimal issues.

Im just waiting for the comic to come along where the Ironclad gets more and more buff beefy and huge for every strength card and limit break is played then just leans down and roars at some single monster.
