Necronomicon Curse
It should be unescapable, but my omamori just negated it

Mechanically, the necronomicurse cannot be removed from your deck. The omamori prevents it from ever being put into your deck in the first place. Which is apparantæy a different thing.

Probably. Just wanted to let people know in case they don't

Like already stated, omamori prevent any instances that otherwise would have added a Curse to your deck. Once any card is added to your deck, it's subject to any card conditions that apply.

On a side note: Can the Necronomicon Curse and other Curse cards with similar conditions like Parasite and Ascender's Bane be Transformed? I have trnasformed some Curses in the past, but don't recall if any of these was subjected to it.

I am not sure about the necronmicurse and ascenders bane, my guts say they cannot be transformed.
Parasite can, but you will lose max life for doing so. Not really worth it.

Transforming a curse just turns it into another curse.

Ah, but if you transform it into a removable curse you can then remove it, which makes it not unremovable.

Necronomicurse, Ascender's Bane and Curse of the Bell (beta) don't show up as options for transforming them. Essentially, transforming a card can be thought of as removing a card and replacing it with a new one at random. You also cannot transform cards that have been bottled.

The Omamari wouldn't be very useful if it was selective about what curses it protected you from. It would be like not being able to use an Artifact potion to negate the confusion effect from Sneko. These little synergies and "work arounds" are what makes the games mechanics come together and be long lasting.

soulbound cards are soulbound cards, my dude. the intention behind getting such a powerful relic is that the drawback is that any time you could suddenly have one less card per turn-- and the harder you try and fight it, the more it pushes back.

the best way to approach necronomicon is to treat it like ascender's bane and to think of it as a natural card. hell-- ascension plus (the mod) makes use of that trait and makes bane non-exhaustible (a22-a23).

Well, it used to be a parasite so it's not too far off.
