Mouse cursor not showing up

i can find multiple mentions of this problem and no solution. ive deleted all my controllers and ive even unplugged my keyboard when launching and still i cant see it. its currently unplayable and this problem occurred out of the blue. another solution that didn't work for me was alt tabing in and out. ive also tried windowed and fullscreen.

Any recent os updates? Did microsoft toggle hardware-accelerated gpu scheduling for you regardless of consent? Is "hide pointer while typing" somehow enabled in control panel?

Is your antivirus suddenly blocking game files, including its cursor style?

cursor invisible but when i click i white circle appears.

figured it out under input settings you can toggle touchscreen mode. no idea how it put itself on that

Commenting to say that this is life saver for me as well. No idea why they made touch screen mode by default

Might be if you played on steam deck first, I'm pretty sure that's how it became enabled for me.

I had a similar problem with missing cursor in game during fullscreen. I identified that the bug was a collision with the f.lux utility. So if anyone has had a similar problem, turn off f.lux.
