Endless Mode - Why?
Just heads up I myself prefer endless mode for a variety of reasons. But I wanna confirm and hear why others like it.

Do you prefer endless mode?
Why? <<----- (This is the most important question! Please give juice details!)
How many ascensions do you reach?
Do most twitch streamers play on endless mode?

Most of the fun in the game is spot reactions to things you're offered and seeing your deck build up over time. Endless mode is kinda fun for the first loop where you've more or less reached your finished state and can flex on stuff for a while, but once you've gone much farther than that there's very little strategy or options; it becomes completely dominated by a couple broken strategies that eventually have to be exploited to keep going (mind blasts, bottled searing blow etc) and it just becomes really boring, there's little to no real decision making to make after a while, and thus the vast majority of my time is on the regular game.

I've brought all my characters up to A15 but I mostly just sit on A1

No, I don't like endless. It has bad balance. I am A20 player who plays most games at A1.
+1 to previous post

Interesting thanks for your feedback. So you enjoy playing normal mode but at a harder difficulty right?

I like endless to see how far I can take a deck, but as they all said... nothing in the game scales to that level. So once you can flex on enemies, that's all there is. Then the game starts making enemies super tanky and dangerous, and makes you unable to play for the first few turns (like the mindblast/searing blow strategy... they're the only ones that work when you have 30 prides on top).

The ascensions aren't really played for fun I don't think. Ascension 1 is a decent balanced mode, if not A0. It's more a difference of how optimal you need to be for those two. I've beaten A20 on all 4 characters. Never doing that ♥♥♥♥ again lol. But I also tend to play A0 or A1.

IFAIK, most streamers don't play endless, for the same reasons. People that stream STS are either ascension climbing, play at A20, or playing modpacks.

I've run a slim Body Slam deck in endless that just removes the Prides each time, so there are other builds.

Anyway, as was said before wndless feels pretty pointless since it breaks the power curve. Everything that can die first turn does. The only damage you take off self inflicted or things like thorns and usually completely avoidable.

Like most Roguelikes/lites, Endless ends up turning you into an unstoppable force. 3 Mindblasts plus bloating your deck makes you more or less unstoppable except for forced damage on Thorns or self damage.

It's a fun gimmick to do once or twice, but beyond that it's fairly stale.
