Why is Empty Cage a boss relic?

Don't get me wrong I know card removal is a big deal, but really? You're putting that up there with energy relics and Eternal Feather?

Well Removing cards are really limited in this game, and it's definitely better than Tiny House or Eternal Feather in certain decks

It seems cage to me is like a worse astrolabe. Cage would be better if you got some really bad curses and lack money to get rid of them.

Worse for act 2, better for act 3. That's the long and short of it.

5 energy isn't necessary, so it's nice when you don't have to skip entirely because your other options are a hovering kite you couldn't build around in time and coffee dripper while you have no sustain relics.

Its a good relic don't get me wrong, but it feels more like a rare than a boss relic.

I personally find the cage to be great. The stupid house relic on the other hand is one of the most underwhelming rewards from a boss I could think of. It doesn't even let you pick a card to upgrade.

There are many situational boss relics, and Cage is by no means weakest. I would prefer it over Philosoper's stone or Orrery any day.

I find myself taking the cage quite often, especially in higher ascension where I need my high impact cards available more often.

I agree that the cage is good, but I also kinda see why it seems... I dunno, not Boss relic quality. It is powerful, it just doesn't feel powerful when stacked up against things that grant extra energy.

Yes but people have been making fun of Tiny House for months. I feel like if it gave like 100g instead of 50 it would actually be ok as a safe pick. Or the cards it let you chose were all rare, like instead of a relic give me 2 cards from this boss.

thats because empty house is basically just beat 1 random battle worth of rewards. i agree it needs buffs. its the only thing true garbo tier.
