Sometimes I want to try a specific strategy but, after multiple attempts, I don't get the synergy I wanted. Usually I abandon the idea and wish me luck on a random ascension.
As long as they disable achievements. I worked hard for my Ascension wins, it wouldn't be fair if people who customized their deck with easy win cards got to gloat about their skill in doing so as well when there was barely any skill involved.
Maybe something like you get to transform a Strike or a Defend as a reward. One less basic card but you get a random card instead.
Just like yesterday. I finally reached level 11 ascension with a friend. Very cool but very hard. Just after that we talked about a searing blow strat. Just to relax.
And I made more than 10 runs to try it and only had Searing Blow early twice. It ended up badly each time and I gave up the test because I was tired of waiting this damn card on Act 1.
About the achievements, well, I really don't care since all the hard achievements I got were pure luck (like finishing Donu with a Feed card).
Yep, such tends to happen in custom modes. You find out or look up the best cards and NEVER use anything else, ever. That's simply how such works, especially in 2018.
Not if it's not tied to Unlocks. If it were set up so that People can only unlock new stuff or it requires you to have unlocked everything before you can access it.
I still think it would speed up the demise of this game. People who would otherwise play the daily over a longer period of time might just get strung out on sandbox mode over a day or two. It will make future runs less special if you have already seen it all. It's kinda like those 30+ women with thousand-♥♥♥♥-stares who seem to have lost all capability to feel joyful.
Maybe instead of just improving your deck, it could alter it in a way that has drawbacks.
Like "your strikes only do 4 damage but your defends block 6 damage".
That or you include questionable card choices like 0 power "Exhaust one card in your hand".
Is the idea to get a sort of "Sandbox Mode"? Where you get to play a deck you didn't build during gameplay, but beforehand and you basically just do random encounters for a while?
I don't think the Devs are going to be implementing that, but sounds like a great idea for a mod?
