Why is the guardian such a difficult boss?
Considerign he appears as a first boss.

Actually, pretty much everyone thinks that Guardian is the easiest Act 1 boss(some people will say Slime Boss is easiest though). So I'm curious why you think he's the hardest.

Here's my difficulty ranking(left to right = easiest to hardest):
Guardian, SlimeBoss, Hexaghost
Champion, BronzeAutomaton, Collector
AncientShapes, TimeEater, AwakenedOne (I am might swap TimeEater to hardest, because AO has shown up a lot for me recently, giving me a ton of practice fighting him, while I rarely fight TimeEater anymore, and when I do fight him, it usually doesn't go well).

Because at least as a warrior 9/10 fights end up in loss. Unless i have stupidly good deck by then or lucky relics.

It must be some flaw in your strategy. I don't know what it could be though, without more information on how you approach the fight.

You probably are just using a wrong strategy. It's happened to me with other bosses before as well and once I understood what to do differently I noticed a huge difference in how the fights went.

Yeah, exactly. Once I learned that Hexaghost's Inferno does DMG based on the percentage of HP you have left, I did must better against it. I only rest before Hexaghost if I had very low HP, because otherwise, I would lose a larger percentage of my health from Inferno.

boss always do its skill in the same order note them and act accordingly, with 3-5 card in your deck to replace those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ strike and block you should do well, try to keep good potion too it help a lot...

for me its the easiest "if" i have a good offence card which is not always the case.

Let me guess, his 30+ damage attack that appears on the 2nd turn, right?

You'll need to force him to shift, OR ELSE!

Good news, is that you actually will see his 5x4 attack and 8x2 attacks MUCH more often.

I think Time Eater might be the most difficult. He punishes a lot of decks (Usually ones that involve doing a lot of moves in a few turns)

Also, I've fought Time Eater a lot, and have rarely seen the other 2 bosses.
I literally only saw the Ancient shapes TWICE in all of my runs. where are they!?

I don't think he is the most difficult, but he is very annoying and mostly a long fight.
never lost to him, but rarely perfected him since they buffed his HP by 20.

Once you learn how to play your defense cards right, you should be able to soak up some of thorn damage when it is in "defense" mode. This should vastly increase your mileage against guardian. Sometimes taking the double slam from ball mode to be able to drop a vulnerability debuff from a card like bash can help as well.

I just bought this game 40 minutes ago and beat the Guardian on my very first run through the game. Surely he can't be that hard once you've got more experience with the game! I did have a Perfected Strike+ though, and only had 4 HP at the end.

I've lost to Hexaghost loads of times, the slime a few times, but hardly ever against the Guardian. Weirdly enough though, the slime is the easiest to Perfect, if you have decent cards and can manage to split it before the 32 strike and the two splits are then luckily in debuff mode. If they're both attacking you don't gain anything :(

Slime is the only one of the 3 that doesn't have a set attack pattern (well, he does when he's in big form, but once he splits, it's up to the will of the RNG). So sometimes you'll be facing 3 slimes ready to do 12-18 damage each while you're weak and frail, and other times they just want to pretend to be cats and lick you.

I question how a slime can lick.

I also question why it weakens/frails.

Slime snot makes it harder to hold a shield?
