Ritual Dagger
How often do you actually take it?
I for one almost never do. Although the card itself isn't as terrible as it used to be, the "issue" here is that 99%* of the times it is offered to you, there is the possibility to grab Gold instead.
*(the "1%" is when you own Ectoplasm).
Although on high Ascension you only get 50 rather than 99 Gold, the 7 HP sacrifice becomes more harmful as the battles will cost more HP, and the max HP is lower too.

So the last time I remembered settling for the Dagger was when I had Ectoplasm on a non-Focus Defect, and another decent damage dealer was welcome.

Eh most of the time I go for the Gold. I only consider the dagger early on act 2

Early dagger with Dual Wield is fun. After you upgrade your dagger to 50 damage+ you Dual Wield it in the boss battle.
Did it only once though.

If i get it early enough, 90% Dagger

50 Gold is.. neat? but the Dagger it`s pretty nuts

Edit: Probably a bit less now that is Fatal :conwayshrug:

I think the dagger is worth taking more often than I see it being taken (or take it myself).

It's a really strong card, it's kind of upgrade hungry, but even so it doesn't take much for it to grow into oneshotting the lower hp shapes in act 3 and such.

A card that does 40+ for 1 energy is a really good card, and getting it there is not hard at all. It's not a card that's gonna carry your bossfights but it's gonna be really solid for most of the run if you can get it going.

It's pretty much always good when you can stack it. Requires a realistic appraisal of how good your deck is at stalling out low-stakes fights in order to get it played.

I think the Monster Train version has made me appreciate this one even more.
