Sell Potions to Merchant vs "discarding"

I was just thinking. Would it make sense to "sell" your potions at the Merchant vs discarding them? Say for a fraction of the cost you could buy it for?

What are your thoughts?

Oh, I meant in general without mods. The ability to play a single player character, while having the option to sell your potions as you play through your seed at the merchant.

That's a cool mod tho!

I would love the option though it will clearly make the game somewhat easier.

If you sell the potion for like half or a third of its price, i don't think it would make the game easier. How much would that be? 30/40 gold? Not even enough to buy or remove a card.

That's what I'm saying. The potions definitely don't have to be full price let alone maybe not even half. I feel it'd make sense, instead of wasting the potions by discarding them. It's like a small but valuable quality of life update in my opinion.

I wonder how others in the community & especially the developer feels?

It’s not that simple. There are cards and relics that ensure you get potions, like Alchemize, White Beast, Cauldron and etc. If we can sell potions in i.e.half price that means each time they grant us a potion it bears value of 25~50 golds. That’s not a small amount. Also using potion is fun. I fear that if we let people sell it some people will just consider it as extra golds. It already happened in League of Legends with ‘Kleptomania’ rune.
