Sneaking strike + tools of the trade

So the card reads if you have discarded a card this turn you gain 2 energy and deal damage. When used with tools of the trade power it doesn't seem to glow yellow indicating its active until you've played another card. Is this intended?

Does it give you energy anyway? If so, they probably just overlooked it and forgot to add the effect for sneaky strike, but if that's the case it's nothing too important.

Didnt check. May have to try that sometime. Currently running a sweet ascension 4 deck and relic combo with shivs + discard and shuriken for strength :)

EDIT: So i just did a turn against the awakened one and it did still work with tools of the trade. Went from 5 energy to 3 back to 5. So yeah maybe just an oversight.
