Entering calm and having empty mind are good tools as well. What's her gain block and draw card? sanctity?

Well, letter opening still exists though.

I get you like your Pressure Points

... No? I've said many times already that Pressure Point is one of her most suboptimal decks. I argued against all those PP = OP!! threads. Though i had some decent runs with PP decks, i don't remember what Asc they were.

But if someone says there's no relic to use with PP, that's wrong.

That's her conditional draw-block, yeah. She also has a common block card that gives delayed draw.

@nercommando I don't necessarily disagree but it's getting that thin deck that I struggle with. I feel like I'd end up with alot of borked runs that might be successful otherwise when I try to get that small. So far only just beat A13 though, so we'll see. I do very much appreciate your guide, made me think differently about alot of cards.

My ascension 20 was with a fairly average Pressure Points deck: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1982409124

Up to ascension level 17, it's even easier to win by the pressure points. People just have way, way too inertial thinking and don't understand that thick decks don't work for the Watcher as well as they do for the other classes and that she performs best when you're playing thin and loopy. She has all the necessary tools to do so and lots of insta-kill options.

It seems more like a combo deck, not something that "happened" in a regular run:lunar2020thinkingtiger:

Should pressure point be reworked to make more sense in the rest of the Watcher. Like:
"Deal X more damage with an attack dealt to this enemy" (Numbers adjusted).

I'm more surprised by the sole elite fight.

But can it beat the heart?

different, but also the same. But that is the best I can do with the flavour of Mark and the rest of the class xD

I find it still useful at A11, if you get it early enough to build around it. I wind up removing all of the other attacks from my deck so wind up being able to put up a pretty solid defence.

Key things to synergise with it are the one that applies weak every time you block (50% off the enemy attack is a big plus for a defensive deck and it chews through multiple artifacts in a round), persistance (Being able to hold block for the big attack is good, it also gives you scaling defence since the buffs to the card for holding it are retained when it's played), meditate (almost as good as adding another PP for being able to pull it back, can also play a big persistence and pull it back for immediate more scaling and reuse). The usual watcher artifacts don't play well, but it gets a lot out of art of war and smooth stone. It also gets a fair boost out of getting the intangibles in act 2 since you can safely scale your attacks and defences a little at the start.

I don't think it's the best thing to do, but so far it's not been useless.

If your problem with the card is inconsistency in seeing it through a play-through, just grab neowi's lament and keep restarting the game until you have 2 in your deck by the end of the first floor. After that, just keep your deck at around 6-10 cards with only PP and block so you can beat game without even thinking.

What's the expected winrate for this strategy? : p

Pressure points is fun, combine with signature move for a funky deck
Wexmajor 2 FEB 2020 a las 1:41 p. m.
Pressure points synergizes with all forms of scry and card draw. If you have a small deck with two pressure points, study, foresight, and enough block to avoid dying, then you can go kung fu panda against anything in the game. Outside of that specific deck it's not very good.
