Runic Cube + Tungsten Rod + Brutality = 2 card draw for 0 damage?

I find myself in the middle of a run with the option to pick up a Runic Pyramid when I already have a Tungsten Rob and upgraded Brutality. My real question is this:

If I take 0 damage, will it trigger the Runic Cube's draw 1 card?

For giggles, I also have a Blue Candle, the use of which also produces 0 damage when I play a curse (I currently have 2). If that will also allow me to draw a card with the Runic Runic, it seems like a solid choice.

Yep, I discovered that shortly after when I took the Runic Cube "for science." Good to know for the future.

This seems odd because last I checked instance of "0 damage" remove plated armor. Consistency. >.>

Plated armour's text is whenever you take damage, runic cube's is specifically whenever you lose HP.

Not a consistency error, game is very pedantic.

Though I question whether taking 0 damage counts as taking any damage, so I still question losing plated armor due to taking 0 damage.

Yeah that doesn't seem normal. I'm pretty sure i never lost plated armor from 0 HP hits?
