I will respectfully disagree with this. Of course there is a lot of randomness in the game, it is a cardgame, randomness comes with the territory. However, learning how that randomness works, what choices can mitigae it or turn it to your favor, is a skill.
If you make the right choices you win, learn what the right choices are and the randomness will not stop you.
I don't understand this statement. If you spend some time figuring out what cards are strong, and works together, you will find that there are plenty of good cards in the game already.
This is of course up to you, if you are not having fun, moving on is probably a fine idea.
For example - Since the Silent is known for shivs and poison, perhaps starting with some instead of the basic deck + neutralize + survivor would make the RNG/terrible dice rolls more palatable.
going back to the topic, If you arnt having fun playing, dont play. This game is a roughe like and it is a card game both had very huge factors of luck. the skill in the game is knowing youre opptions and how best to use them
Although, some Act1's can be really bad at times, leading to some "oh come one really?"-moments here and there. Except for The Defect - that little robot just has so much more possibilities, than the other 2 characters, without having to rely on energy relics.
Given how much the game got tweaked over the past months to get to this point of consinstency, it'll only be getting better as it nears it's launch. My bets are on a heart-nerf after the holidays, when the dev processed all the gameplay data.
Then explain why lots of people can consistently win... on high Acensions?
Meh, I don't know why I try... you've already deleted a great game based on your own lies.
because people quit the game before they are about to loose (like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NadwjUoj_CQ) and try again? If they would remove that feature from the game that you can save and quit during a battle much more people would not've made it.
In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the game allowing you to trim your deck down to only a handful of cards makes it not impacted by RNG enough.
From majority of the streamers with high win percentages, they do quit and repeat battles a lot. Basically, they are getting rid of the RNG aspect and suddenly the game becomes much more about skill and knowledge.
Anyway a wise rome total war loading screen once said that luck is the residue of design. Sooooo, get designing!
