A discussion on Dark energy and defect (with a deck example)
So, I think its fair to say that the "easy way" to win with defect is via lightning - especially with electrodynamics. But there are of course many ways to bake a cake, and dark just so happens to be one of them. I was wondering, anyone got any interesting dark decks that they had success with? Mine is here:

The deck had to be small and not include too many orb producing cards in order to allow time for the buff to work. So lots of frost was out for starters, although i took chill as it was innate so i would burn the frost orbs fairly quick. Then i needed some uber defence cards, and forcefield, leap and charged battery was my bread and butter here. The rest was just filled out with power cards (mostly). And i removed as many strikes as i could when i could (ending up with none). Strangely enough the biggest monster trouble i had was with the exploding spheres in Act 3. I guess because you only have 3 turns before they pop, and the deck kind of relies on a bit of waiting.

As for power cards, storm, machine learning and buffer were the mainstays. I never rolled defragment in either shop or reward - i guess in part due to me taking crown in Act 1 (i was not particularly happy with my boss reward relics in general).

Overall it worked rather well. With a small deck it wasnt too much trouble to draw what you needed. Branch relic was a bit hit or miss. I though i might be in trouble with the awakened one as the final boss because i had so many power cards, but thunder strike was my lifeline. It got so powerful by the end of the fight. With echo form charged, i was dealing a ridiculous 133 damaage for 3 mana, which is basically what won me the run, as up until then it was a bit mediocre.
