What/where is a burning elite?

There will be one burning elite per floor (if you beat it, you get a key piece and there wont be other burning elites). You can get a key instead of using a campfire and you can get the last key by taking it in a chest over the other relic (you can only get the key OR the relic, but the option appears in every chest). After you collect all 3 and beat Act 3, something will happen...
