The Final Act, balance, and things like that
Did anybody complete the final act already?

I mean, it's f***ing impossible. Absolutely impossible. Stupidly impossible.

I though I'm too weak, I'm playing too bad, I'm unlucky, you know. Until today.

Ironclad with build for high armor (Barricade, Entrench, Body Slam, all that things), cool relics, all cards upgraded (!), 144 HP (!!!) (several hp relics + start buff + Feed right from the first act, so lucky) – even Donu&Deca died almost like regular mobs. Character powerful as king of gods.

And he CAN'T BEAT THE FINAL ACT.

Because that new elites deal up to 50 dmg every turn.
Because that new elites constantly apply 30 (!) armor to one of them while second attacks with 51 dmg – making it impossible to quickly focus one of them, forcing every turn to change target.
Because after elites there is no damn bonfire. In the rest of game it's a law – but here bonfire is at the beginning of the map. Sooooo usefull, yeah.
Because you come to final boss with 30, 15, 8 hp, doesn't matter how strong you are. Pantograph helps a bit, but anyway result will be the same.
Because every boss' attack is 36 or 60 (!!) dmg – so every time he attacks you must to weak him and apply maximum armor; once you're unlucky and don't have proper cards in hand – and you're dead. No chance for mistake.
So all the difference is will you die in second or, maybe, fourth turn. That's all.

It's not fun. Not fun at all. It's just stupid.

How? How, in the name of all gods, to beat this? It doesn't look as something possible.

honestly the most difficult part about A4 is the elite right before the final boss, I'll admit that I haven't been able to kill the heart yet, but I probably would have if the shield and spear didn't eat away at my health so much

I once tried to get away from the elite with a smoke bomb, and it said that I couldn't because I was flanked, I ended up not using the smoke bomb, so I wonder if this means you can escape that fight if just kill one of either the shield or spear

and the heart could be a lot worse, considering his most annoying effect, the one that makes you take damage for each card you play, only does blockable damage actually gives you a lot more room to work with than you might expect right at the beginning. However, I do think that the heart may have a bit too much health, considering what it can do to you. Perhaps have it go from 750 to 650?

Except that's ust untrue. One of my most powerful runs ever has been an Ironclad deck with no block cards whatsoever. Just a bunch of upgraded Limit Break, Flex, Thunderclap, and Pummel/Sword Boomerang. Combined with any relic which gives you at least one extra strength by default, that deck will steamroll any boss in only a few turns, and can kill the transient with extra turns to spare. Except Heart, who cannot take more than 300 per turn, which forces me to extend the fight to 3-4-5 turns and forces me to survive 76 damage. Which means if I do not beat the previous elite battle with little/no damage and enter the boss at full health or near it, I simply cannot win no matter what. Because the Heart was designed in such a way that makes an otherwise amazing deck unwinnable.
So, one of your most powerful runs was using a deck without any defensive value, knowing you would face an enemy in the end that would drain your hitpoints by playing cards, has a cap on damage taken, and is well known to not just sit there and watch you kill it. Sounds like a well laid plan to me... :D

Yes, killing one of the opponents will allow you to use the smoke potion.

If it is winnable or not doesnt even matter anymore if we talk about balance alone. over 90% of the time you know after act 1 if you even have a chance at beating the end or not and most of the time the answer is no. It really is either cheese it or dont even attempt it.

I love the idea of the elite but having it right before the heart is just a bad joke. A lot more decks would be viable and you could do a lot more if they werent infront of the heart. Having them right there just means you are forced down a narrow path of choices.

I dont think anything should be nerfed stat wise but like so many others said just put the bonfire after the elites and it would be a lot more reasonable.
It just doesnt feel worth it collecting the keys if you know that your deck won't be able to win no matter what because RNG just wasnt right and you arent able to cheese your way through the game with infinite decks.
