Black Blood: A boss relic weker than a Starting Relic
By making this thread, I don't want to express that Black Blood is an extremely bad relic.
Just want to say:

Burning Blood: Heal 6 HP after Battle
Black Blood: Heal (effectively!) 4 HP after Battle

Kinda thought this to be interesting.

Even just 4 HP per combat is huge. With Black Blood you heal for 10 total, 15 with Magic Flower. It even makes Coffee Dripper worth taking, after the Act2 boss, especially if you got Reaper or Bandages on top of that.

I'd sure take it any day over Eternal Feather.

When you put it that way...

That is an exceptionally strange and bad way of looking at it, but regardless, many boss relics are situational rather than just powerful. Remember that things like Calling Bell and Snecko Eye are in there.

In terms of boss relics the bottom tier ones is probably black star calling bell and hovering kite.

Except that Hovering Kite can be extremely powerful in some silent decks.
Stronger than a relic that just gave +1 energy.

Calling Bell is good if you have Omamori, VuDu doll, Darkstone Periapt, Peace Pipe, Blue Candle...

Black Star is amazing if you get it from Neow. Tiny House is easily the worst boss relic, and I'd honestly put Coffee Dripper down there too.

It's no secret that Burning Blood is one of the best relics. I literally never swap it for a random boss relic.

its easy to look at black blood as a poor choice when you dont factor in the fact you can lose more than 6 hp.
in a situation where you only lose 4-6 hp, black blood and burning blood literally do the same thing.
also what does "effectively" mean does this include damage taken so like -6 + 10 = 4 heal?
so why aren't you doing the same thing for burning blood -6 + 6 = 0
anyway, between sozus, black star, and black blood. i would take sozus. but im not making this choice because "i don't need the regen" im making it based off "i like to make expensive decks, this helps"

... seriously, why don't you get it what it means?
Burning Blood: Heal 6 HP
Black Blood: Heal 10 HP, BUT you lose Burning Blood, so the 6 HP heal is replaced with a 10 HP heal. Therefore, Black Blood actually effectively heals for 4 HP, stand alone.

One more time in other words: You replace the 6 HP heal witha a 10 HP heal. Therefore, picking up the Black Blood only gives you a(n additional) 4 HP heal.

If I hadn't put in the word "effectively", I'm pretty sure a... erm "smart" person would have said "Wow, you idiot, it heals 10, not 4, can't you read?!?!!??"

well vial of blood only heals 2 hp and its pretty good granted its at the beginning of the fight instead of the end but black blood would be healing twice as much while its probably not the most powerful relic i dont think i have ever been dissapointed by a vial of blood where as occasionally something like calipers or tea set will be entirely useless so in that light i dont think its that bad
