Common Sense Achievement: Removing cards
Does anyone know if you can get the common sense achievement by using rares/uncommons but removing them from your deck before beating the final boss, so that at the end of your run it's only commons? Just curious if this works or not.

I dare say yes. Otherwise you could never beat the game with 5 cards or less, right?

I also think that would work. But be careful - if you build your deck around, let's say Limit Break as your only non-common card for example, then the last boss is probably going to demolish you after removing that card. So don't rely on that too much, as you can't use it for the final battle.

Also, this practice has an extra risk, as you might run across the "Winding Halls" event, where you have to get either 2 uncommons or 1 curse (curses are not allowed on Common Sense achievement AFAIK) - and if you then only have one removal option, you'll be angry for still having that rare card in your deck.

Very hard to argue about that

I'll probably try to do it with perfect strikes and use Feed as my rare or something like that. See how that works I guess?

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but has anyone confirmed if you still earn Common Sense if you had uncommons or rares in your deck but remove them before beating the final boss?

You can. I got this achievement after this run: Screenshot

As you can see, I once had a Shockwave+ (an uncommon card of Ironclad) and then removed it before I won, so I still got Common Sense. You can check my profile to confirm that the time I got this achievement is exactly this run's time.
