Also, this practice has an extra risk, as you might run across the "Winding Halls" event, where you have to get either 2 uncommons or 1 curse (curses are not allowed on Common Sense achievement AFAIK) - and if you then only have one removal option, you'll be angry for still having that rare card in your deck.
As you can see, I once had a Shockwave+ (an uncommon card of Ironclad) and then removed it before I won, so I still got Common Sense. You can check my profile to confirm that the time I got this achievement is exactly this run's time.
