How do unlocks work?
What does unlocking cards and relics do? I've had many runs that I'll use a card or relic during the run, just to unlock it after the run.

Doing certain things will give you score bonuses, which is converted into experience in a 1:1 ratio. I think the biggest score bonus is "Beyond Perfect", which comes from defeating the bosses without taking damage from them.

If you are seeing cards and relics that you haven't unlocked yet, then you may be experiencing a bug. You should check the Compendium to see if there are any locked cards/relics.

When you play a daily nothing is locked because it would imbalance the score. In the regular game mode there are some cards and relics you unlock by leveling up the various characters. Daily mode also levels up the characters though.
