A chosen and a birdman enter a room
And royally, brutally decimate any deck I can bring to the fight.

While the Chosen and the cultist on the second floor are deserving of a nerf in and of themselves (for a regular mob, both hit far FAR too hard), the encounter where they pair up end half my runs right then and there or leaves me utterly crippled and doomed for the next fight, unless I have a spectacular amount of luck getting a functional deck by the end of the first floor. It's as bad if not worse as the book of stabbing and yet considered a *regular* encounter.... somehow.

Can this PLEASE be addressed?

It's not so bad, honestly. Just hex is fücking annoying. That shet ramps up so fast.

And again this run. It's terrible as the combination of hex, way too deep healthpools and +3 str every round buffs makes it just downright broken. I'm at the point where I quit a run the moment this battle shows up due to frustrations about this garbage combo.

Get this fixed. Now.

Lol. I'm tired of seeing these threads so I will respond this : git gud.

If guys can win streak the game 30 times, I think you can manage to kill regular mobs.

If you can't, change the way you play, follow some guide, etc.

Anyway, it doesn't need a nerf.

Stuff that criticism up your rectal cavity, Ironrig. I completed the game with both characters, but only by a degree of luck from the RNG in terms of relics and decent cards allowing to form a functional tactic around. Any run that doesn't have me bump into this pair gets to act 3 even luck isn't with me. Fair enough, can't win them all. Sometimes I get punished for being greedy by picking a fight with an elite mob. My bad, is perfectly acceptible. But bumping into this pair means end of a run early act 2 consistently and far too regularly, and it's well past "getting on my nerves".

The only real conclusion we can draw from this is the following: THIS GAME NEEDS AN EASY MODE!

I agree. Obviously once players get better they stop asking to nerf silly stuff like this, but who would it hurt to have an easier mode as an option for players that wanted it?

So you won once with each class only due to luck and if you face up vs the chosen + cultist then you instantly lose, yet good players can win consistently because of their decision making that marginalises the game's randomness, but clearly the game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RNG and there's no way you could have made a single mistake.

Yup, I'm not at all against an easy mode for those who just wanna play "crazy" by picking all the cards or for those who don't really know how to play.

But, rectum cavity aside, it's your, and only your fault if you can't beat regular mobs. Not the RNG, not your cards, not your luck. You.

Yes, there can be exceptions with really bad run and you lose early act 2. But 90% time, regular mobs are not rly a problem if you pick balanced cards. (remove strike/defends, take AOE, utility cards and have balancing deck def/att).

Why?

Just play more and get better? Maybe?

Honestly dude, I find the Cultist to be one of the easier enemies in the game. He doesn't hit hard enough for the first few turns to get past your blocks, so I just look to drop a single block card and go to town on him for the first round or two - sure, I'm probably going to take maybe 2-3 damage over those turns, but unless I've had a bit of bad luck with RNG, by the time he's hitting hard enough to really worry me and take 10-12hp off a time, I've got him low enough that I can burst him out of there in a single turn.

I do agree that when he's paired with the Chosen it's one of the tougher mobs out there - you just have to look at your deck and make a decision as to which one is going to cause you more problems in the long-term. If you've got enough blocking to tank the worst of the cultist's hits and are worried about those damn Dazed cards choking your small deck, take out the Chosen first. If you have a big enough deck or enough exhaust/discard/draw capability to still have an option despite 12 Dazed cards in your deck, then get that Cultist out of the way before he starts hitting like a truck.

I always try to have a few AoE cards or dedicate a few 0-cost cards each turn so that while I'm focusing on getting one of them down, I'm also gradually chipping down at the other as well, meaning I've not got to spend so long going toe-to-toe with an enemy that's now basically a juggernaut.

But why are there so many people who want to enjoy the game, but are not very good at it? I wont need it, but clearly a few people here do.

What? Do you mean that you didn't get born with all the necessary skills to be the best human person in this world? Do you mean you actually have to train up skills to be good at something?

I'm shocked.

What? Do you mean some people enjoy games but don't have the time to master them? Do you mean you aren't in a situation where you can afford to play more than an hour every few days?

I'm shocked.

Being a sarcastic ♥♥♥♥♥ doesn't make you funny or cool. I think people asking the developer to change the game to their taste is a bit much and is deserving maybe of a bit of derision but come on my dude.
You are probably funnier than that.
Eagle_of_Fire Feb 7, 2018 @ 5:28pm
Except that if people play games and they don't have time to master them it's their own frigging problem. They should play easy games if what they want to play is easy games. duh.
ezerferrefin Feb 7, 2018 @ 6:00pm
I thought normal is the easy mode.... so far ascension 6 and 7 took some tries, other ones were actually done on the first run... (up to 9 now).
Nomral is such a piss take these days after running ascensions
