Slay the Spire
I can't beat this. Am i stupid?
I can only get to act 3. It seems that i average getting to around act 2, but hit a wall once i get to the second boss. I only hit the act 3 boss once. How many acts in the game are there? Is anyone else having a problem beating this game? It seems that i always get screwed by RNG in some way. I always think i am making a good deck or doing the right thing, but then i get $hit on.

The third act boss is the last boss and maybe try doing runs making your deck as small as possible while also synergistic so you get more used to not bloating your deck and when you bloat your deck you have a chance of like drawing all defends on a turn the enemy is buffing or drawing all attacks on a turn you need to defend you just gotta learn how to mitigate the rng

Yea. That's what i try to do. I just had a run where i tried to focus on a shiv theme, but failed to get good cards for it. It always seems that my deck suffers in a some way due to rng. I thought it was a decent deck until i faced the act 1 boss that was the one that puts those damage cards into your deck. I only had 2 discard cards, thanks to RNG, and got burnt to death due to that.

I love this game and hate this game.

The 3rd boss is the final one. Try watching some streamers or youtubers, they might give you some ideas of what to do. The most basic concept behind each character is that Ironclad has strength gain and insane aggro combos while Silent has poison and insane card cycle combos

It'll get easier once you identify what the key cards and/or relics are for each strategy. You mention making a shiv deck, and that's a solid enough plan, but like with any other deck you should NEVER commit fully to it unless you have either all or most of the key pieces. Until you have those you should either pick universally strong/useful cards, or skip the pick to avoid bloating your deck. Starting out with a deck in mind will lose you the game. You have to evaluate the cards you're offered and shape your strategy around that.

Obviously, the newer you are the more runs you will have that it's simply not feasible for you to win. That's kind of the point of the game. Once you can reliably beat the game it becomes a hell of a lot less fun, although the ascensoin update did change that a bit.

You are not playing the game wrong because you die. You are playing the game. Make every run an opportinuty to learn more about how the cards work together and which are more important. That's what the game is about :)

1. Small deck is important. Don't pick every card. Path towards mechant for removal as long as you have enough money.
2. Don't pick curse for more gold unless you have the relic to counter it.
3. Stick to 1-2 winning conditions. For example, rampage + headbutt, heavy blade + flex, body slam + barricade. It depends on what cards they drop you.
